Ingredients

1. 1/2 c. chocolate pie mix
2. 1 1/4 c. sugar
3. 1/2 c. evaporated milk
4. 2 tbsp. butter
5. 1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring
6. 4 to 6 c. popped popcorn (1 microwave bag)

Direction

1. Grease a large rectangular oven-proof dish with butter. Distribute popped popcorn evenly in the dish.
2. In saucepan, combine pie mix, sugar, and milk.
3. Stir until smooth and place over medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to full boil.
4. Reduce heat and continue cooking and stirring until mixture reaches soft ball stage on a candy thermometer.
5. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer for 8 to 10 minutes on high.
6. Working rapidly, pours chocolate mixture over popcorn as evenly as possible. Let cool completely and break or cut into pieces.

White Chocolate Popcorn

Ingredients

1. 6 ounces of nestle white chocolate chips
2. 2 (3 1/3 ounce) bags popcorn (Stay away from the buttery kind)

Direction

1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. (Watch it closely if you use the microwave).
2. Microwave 2 bags of popcorn or pop about 7 oz. popcorn kernels.
3. In a big tub, (or 2 large bowls) sprinkle melted white chocolate over popcorn. Mix and fur as you go. You’re looking for a light coat of chocolate on the popcorn -- too much will make the popcorn soggy and spongy.
4. Let popcorn cool in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens. This is a great time to scoop servings of the popcorn into large zip lock baggies for easy storage.

Chocolate Popcorn Balls

Ingredients

1. 1/2 c sugar
2. 2 tb cocoa
3. 1/4 c margarine or butter
4. 1/2 c light corn syrup
5. 1/4 ts salt
6. 8 c popped popcorn

Instructions

1. Heat all ingredients except popcorn to boiling in Dutch oven
over medium-hi heat, stirring constantly.
2. Boil and stir 2 minutes; Stir in popcorn until well coated; cool slightly.
3. Dip hands into cold water. Shape mixture into 8 balls, each about 2-1/2
inches in diameter.
4. Place on waxed paper; cool. Wrap individually in plastic wrap, or place in plastic bags and seal.

1. 1 cup butter
2. 2 cups brown sugar
3. 1/2 cup corn syrup
4. 1 teaspoon salt
5. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
