Crab

Crabs belong to decapods, which show that they contain 10 legs and having a hard shell known as carapace which protects them. Crab walk sideways of seashore and their two eyes are positioned on the last part of two short stalks. Crabs used to cast off their upper shell often in order to grow. After cast offing the old shell, the process of this cast-offing is called molting, the crab enlarges its size in few hour and after this process crab intake a lot of water. Then crab is left with its soft shell which will harden after few days. Crabs are captured when they have soft shell or molted. Therefore it ease you in buying the crab as the harden shell crabs are not really good for cooking. Soft shell crabs are preferred due to the reason that these are more tender and softer and give more taste.

Halibut

Halibut is the type of flat fish live in fresh and salt water famous in the countries near to sea. It is derived from the Dutch dictionary.

Physical characteristics of halibut

1. largest of all flat fish,
2. average weight of about 25 lb - 30 lb,
3. can grow as much as 600 lbs
4. blackish-grey on the top side a
5. off-white from the underbelly
6. the eyes are on both sides of its head
7. swim like a salmon
8. after 6 months one eye will drift to the other side of its head
9. stationary eyed side develop a blackish-grey pigment

Lobster

Lobster is seafood varies in size, color, and weight. Lobster holds 30 species with claws and 45 species with spines. The clawed lobster is said to be the true and real lobster
An important key to cook lobster is that it must be cooked in salty water or sea water if available. Other herbs and wine can be used to cook a lobster in order to give flavor to lobster. Different ingredients are used like onion, carrots, and bay leaves in order to give the liquid a thick consistency and flavor.

Shrimps

The true real shrimps are the swimming decapods classified in infraorder Caridea mostly found in fresh and salty water. Prawns and shrimps together are caught for human consumption. Shrimp recipes are shared by the world under different names or with these common names. True shrimps are of two types named as mantis and mysid which are edible and are consumed widely.

Salmon

Salmon is the common name of the several fish belongs to family salmonidae. The famous species is trout famous for cooking as hold delicious natural taste in it. They are the genus of fresh water. Salmon recipe as the food not only used in the regions near to sea but also all the regions of the world.

Clam

The word "clam" has no significant information or history in biology. But in the America the clam is used to mean mollusc having two valves. It also used to for a bivalve other than mussel, scallop, and oyster. It is oval shape and fresh water animal. The clam means specie having bivalve and is edible, which is buried in sand therefore some time they referred to clam digging.

Scallop

A scallop is bivalve seafood similar to mollusc belongs to family Pectinidae. It is found in all worlds’ oceans. Scallops are highly prized as they contain very nutritional values. Sea scallops are valued for their bright color. Scallop recipe is famous in all restaurant of the world as they are very tasty and delicious.

Mussel

This common word mussel is used for clam and all sea animals having bivalve both from salt water and from fresh water. Mussels don’t hold any history rather its history can be applied to clam which has long and wide shell and this shell is wedge shaped and asymmetrical-looking. The external color of the mussel shell is dark blue or brown where as other family member of mussels has light color shell.
