Gourmet seasoning is used to flavor and color the cookery items. Seasoning varies from culture to culture and from region to region. Though hundreds of seasoning is in use round the world but few of gourmets seasoning in use since yesteryears, these include:
Allspice: The name itself shows that it is a spice and ingredients of many dishes. Allspice has pungent aroma. Allspice doesn’t mean a blend of "all spices," but actually its taste and aroma mistakenly remind people of a mix of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg spice, same mistake as Christopher did. Pimiento reflects the Spanish/Jamaican background of Allspice. Allspice is used for patés, terrines, smoked and canned meats. Allspice recipes include Jamaican jerk seasoning used in Jamaican soups, stews, and curries. Allspice is a major ingredient of pickling spice, spiced tea mixes, cakes, cookies, and pies. It is common ingredient of both savory and sweet foods.
Sea salt: is normally gathered from sea water or rock deposits. If salts is slightly greyish in color then it is due to this mineral content, is ediable also. Sea slalt has two major components Sodium and chlorine,which are necessary for the survival of all living creatures. Sae salt suppliers should carry salts safely as to protect the salt from humid, moisture, air and any polutents. vanilla extract: is in used from the last hundred years. The very first vanilla extract was made at apothecary shops, the first pharmacies and drug stores, and this was in a syrup form. These were very sweet in taste and were used for upset stomach. In today’s world vanilla extract is available at every convenience store, supermarkets, gourmet shops, and online shops. Thought other forms rather then extract are also in use like imitation vanilla, vanilla blend, double fold vanilla, vanilla powder, and vanilla paste.
Curry paste: The classic curry paste taken to west by British during the imperial region has few spices involve and have a specific taste and have no major impact whats today curry paste have in India due to various curry paste recipes. Curry paste can be red, green or yellow in color with distinctive aroma’s and flavor’s, ranges from mild to extra hot and strong flavor’s. These are widely consumed by South East Asians.
