Halibut

Halibut is the type of flat fish live in fresh and salt water famous in the countries near to sea. It is derived from the Dutch dictionary.

Physical Characteristics Of Halibut

11. flounder.

Common predators of halibut are the sea lion

The Greenland halibut belongs to the family of the right eye flounders of the Pleuronectiformes. It lives in deep water about 200-1600m deep but can be caught from the depths of 2200m. They live in the temperature of 1-4 degree but can be lived in -2.1 degree. They are found both in Atlantic and pacific oceans. The halibut from fair-weather ground is known as fair-weather ground halibut.

Baked halibut need a long time consumption work. The following ingredients are used




Ingredients

1. 1 lb. halibut
2. 1 tbsp. oregano
3. 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4. Salt and pepper to taste
5. 1 sm. onion
6. 6 slices lemon
7. 1 tomato, sliced
8. 2 oz. feta cheese

Direction

1. Mix All The Ingredients And Layered On The Halibut.
2. Bake This Until Cook.
3. Serve Hot With Salads.

Grilled Halibut

1. 6 Oz. Fresh Mushrooms, Sliced
2. 1/4 C. Butter, Melted
3. 2 Tsp. Dijon Style Mustard
4. 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
5. 2 Tbsp. White Cooking Wine
6. 4 Halibut Steaks (About 1/3 Lb. Each)

Direction

1. Sauté The Mushrooms With Butter
2. Mix All Ingredients
3. Add Mushrooms And Mixture To Halibut
4. Grill Until Cook.

Blackened Halibut Recipe

For The Dry Rub

1. 1 tsp salt
2. 1 tsp dried thyme
3. 1/2 tsp dried oregano
4. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
5. 1/4 tsp hot paprika
6. 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
7. 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, toasted and roughly chopped
8. Salt and pepper, to taste
9. 4 halibut fillets, 7oz (200g) each
10. Olive oil, for brushing
11. 1 lime, quartered

Direction

1. Combine all the ingredients that will give a dry rub
2. Now brush the halibut fillet with olive oil and put it into shallow dish
3. Rub the dry rub on the halibut
4. Preheat the oven
5. Now grill these fillets and twist both sides and cooked until become dark red
6. Ready to serve
7. Serve in hot form with lime squeeze.

Wild Rice And Halibut Recipe

Ingredients

1. 800 g (28 oz) fillet of halibut
2. 2 corn on the cob or 1 (0.4 c?) small can of corn
3. 30 g (1 oz) butter
4. 100 g (3.5 oz) wild rice or brown rice
5. 150 g (5.3 oz) tomato concasse
6. salt
7. pepper

Halibut Rub Ingredients

1. 1 shallot
2. 2 Tsp. olive oil
3. 1 Tsp. hot Madras curry
4. 8 dl (3.4 c) fish stock
5. 4 dl (1.7 c) heavy cream
6. 2 Tsp. parsley
7. 2 Tsp. chives
8. Corn starch

Direction:

1. Boil the rice
2. Boil the corn on the cob with salty water and cut it into two pieces.
3. Cut the fish in serving bites
4. Add season to the halibut
5. Steam the halibut
6. Now make the sauce by mixing all the ingredients
7. Add this to steam halibut
8. Cook until become bright red
9. Add this with boiled rice
