Salmon Marinade

Salmon is a species of fish that belongs to family Salmon and it is very popular food. Salmon food is reasonably healthy due to the high protein and low fat levels present in the fish and to its high Omega-3 fatty acids content.

Marinade for salmon needs less salt as seafood it self high in salt plus it need oil in its marinade so to make the top greasy which helps in better cooking of salmon. Less oil will stick the salmon to the pan and broke the salmon pieces. Marinade of salmon can be a paste or any dry rub, it can be grilled or broiled. But grilled salmon is tastier rather broiled as grilling will add additional flavor. Salmon food itself has natural flavor in it so too heavy sauce will destroy the natural flavors. Marinade recipe for grilled salmon holds basic ingredients like salmon steaks must be 1-inch thick, vegetable oil, lemon juice, finely chopped onion, salt, pepper 1/2 tsp, desired mixed dried herbs includes thyme, rosemary, basil and tarragon. Salmon marinade recipe shows that dry rubs can be added in any liquid juice with oil which orm a thick sauce. You can add any other herbs and spice according to your taste. If no citrus juice is required then the dry herbs can be added in garlic paste. The garlic paste will help in making a smooth paste for marinade salmon. A delicious healthy lemon-garlic marinade for salmon that must be kept for 6 hours before broiling it. the basic ingredients involves: 4 salmon fillets, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 4 cloves garlic, minced, 3 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro. Lemon juice is added just because the wild pieces need citrus juice in order to break the protien chain. And also helps to keep the protien eating enzymes away.

Baked salmon marinade recipe often used by the weight concious consumers or the ones using diet chart in order to reduce the weight. Dr. Gillian McKeith sugested the following recipe for the weight concious consumers
Ingredients:

1. 2 salmon steaks (high in Omega – 3 fatty acids which help lower cholesterol)
2. 2 cloves garlic – minced (high in the compound ‘alicin’ which enhances immune system and fights infections)
3. 1 tbsp grated ginger (cleanses blood, liver and kidneys)
4. ½ lemon (high in vitamin C)
5. 2 fresh raw leeks (detoxes the liver)
6. Took fresh spinach which is considered to be very useful.

Method:

1. Cut the leeks into approximately 12 chunks.
2. Steam or boil leeks for about 5 minutes to gently soften.
3. Rinse and dry the salmon. Place the spinach on the pan and add salmon on it
4. Now place the above given herbs and spices on the salmon
5. When the salmon is little bit warm then take it out from the heat
6. Now put this in the oven and bake it for 30 minutes until it becomes little bit crispy. You can use cooked dry herbs as its topping as it will provide more hot in your recipe.
7. If desired, squeeze lemon juice too.
