Spreads:

A preserve either bitter, salty or sweet in tang made from fruit, sugar, water, butter, cream is well-known as Spreads. It is spreaded on the bread with the help of knife. Common spreads includes cheese, cream, butter, jams and marmlades. These are distinguish from dips as dips don’t need knife to spread. They are applied to breaf in order to give texture and flavor to the bread. They are different from condiments which are optional additions in your food. Mostly spreads are formed from two main sources, Milk and Fruits. Milk is used to give butter, cheese and cream whereas fruits give jams and marmlades. Different flavor are added to spreads as nuts are added in butter, fruit pulp is added to marmlades and so on. Spreads can either be sweet or salty, it can either be sour or spicy depends on the basic ingredients made from.

Syrups:

Gourmet Syrup is a thick viscous liquid having large tendency of sugar but must not have deposit crystals of sugar in it. Gourmet Syrups are widely used all over the world by the humans of each age to give flavor to their food items. Many syrups are used in deserts, pancakes, cream cakes, dry cakes, candies, coffee, fudge, pies, hot toddies, fritters, milkshakes, fresh fruits and many more… you can find syrups in almost all fruit and dry fruit flavors. The viscosity in syrup liquid is due to the strong hydrogen bonding within sugar particles, having hydroxyl OH groups, with water. The syrup is a super saturated solution as sugar is dissolved in a huge amount by heating the liquid to increase the tendency for dissolving sugar. Some times the pulp of different fruit is used in it to give thicker consistency. Natural syrups contain more healthy benefits rather artificial syrups prepared from artificial sugar. Syrup doesn’t mean that it must contain sugar as its major ingredient rather many syrups are in process which are credited as sugar-free syrups. Many companies are offering original and sugar free syrups now which contains 0 percent calories, suggested for health conscious consumer.

Gourmet maple syrups are famous all over the world and are widely accepted by United States and Canada, as Canada is ranked at top one position due to its 80 percent production of maple syrups. Maple syrups are formed from natural sap of maple trees, plastic pipelines are attached directly to valves made in the xylem of tree and these pipes are directed to sugar house where the sap is poured in to the special container as “evaporator”. This evaporator evaporates all of its water content leaving behind a thick consistent liquid named as Maple Syrup.
